The           Story

Kim.jpg

HBMA was established on a foundation of caring, compassion and empathy for the elderly and for Director - Kim Hunt the ability to educate Providers on these qualities together with exceptional Customer Service Training, Strategic Outcomes and Change Management Processes becomes a must for any aged care provider wishing to deliver a high quality service within the industry today.

Kim had the pleasure to care for her Father at home for the last few years of his life until his need for Aged Care Placement became too great in 2006.

The Aged Care entry process taught her 2 things:

1. The turmoil and guilt that a family endure when making the decision to place a loved one in care.
2. The complex world of Aged Care entry from a family’s perspective and how processes could be enhanced.

It was through the time Kim spent with her Father in his Age Care setting that cemented her passion and vision to work within the industry long term and really make a difference for the families she would eventually be guiding through the aged care maze. So, after completing the education required, her journey began working as an AIN with the residents but after 18 months soon re-established herself into a Management Sales & Marketing Role with the Aged Care provider she was working with.

Now as a Senior Aged Care Executive with more than 15 years’ experience providing strategic direction, training and support in the aged care sector, Kim specialises in combining her industry expertise with highly effective sales, marketing and interior design techniques to increase occupancy rates and RADs.

This includes coaching, mentoring and supporting management, sales teams and other employees to secure new business, improve the customer experience and create a competitive point of difference. At the same time, Kim has successfully dealt with various challenges associated with an industry downturn as a result of the government’s Home Care packages, negative public relations and multiple industry pressures.

Kim’s ability to deliver first class service and support as well as building, nurturing and leveraging strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders has also played a key role in her success retaining clients and securing new business. Kim has sound financial and budgeting skills with extensive knowledge and experience in the Aged Care Funding Models and a commitment to ensure all processes and work practices comply with industry standards, including the Aged Care Act 1997 and the new Aged Care Quality Standards.
